tam4Opposite the church and just 5 minutes walk from Fig Tree Villa, you’ll find our local bar/restaurant Tamala, where the host George will make you feel more than welcome. I have no doubt that you find yourselves hanging out here quite often on your Cyprus holiday.  Be it for your English Breakfast, Cocktails, a few beers or George’s fantastic reasonably priced food.  There is a huge car park behind the bar but it is so close to the Villa that you can easily stroll down there.

A good mix of Cypriots, ex-pat locals and tourists frequent this bar and visitors tend to come back again and again due to the friendly and inviting atmosphere.  The food there is just amazing with big portions. There’s also a full program of TV sports viewing and regular live music events with a small dance floor, you will often see the locals Greek dancing late into the night even if there’s no scheduled event happening. For those who want to play bar games you’ll find a pool table and dart’s area upstairs.

tam2-copytamThe popular Kiti Festival is centred right around this area in August with lots of events going on. There’s also ample outdoor seating in the patio and out facing the pretty church and it is normally warm enough to sit outside most days of the year, but there’s also a blazing log fire for those cozy winter evenings.

Don’t forget to try George’s frozen Mohitos!  These are our favourite! Cocktail Happy Hour is 4-7!
